Flooding causes road closure at Penrhos

THE A499 road at Penrhos has been closed because of flooding.
The road between Pwllheli and Llanbedrog had been closed for a while this morning after heavy overnight rain but had reopened with lights controlling the traffic at mid-morning.
But shortly after 3pm the road was closed once more.
Local authority officers are advising drivers to use the Nanhoron route to travel between Pen Llyn and Pwllheli.
Minor flooding was also reported in Nebo, Nasareth and at Lôn Ddwr, Llanllyfni this morning.
A Gwynedd Council spokesman said that council area engineers, highways officers and workmen have been attending incidents of localised flooding today.
