Surfers rescued at Hell's Mouth

A GROUP of surfers were rescued from Porth Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth) yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.

Abersoch lifeboat was launched at around 4.20pm following reports of a number of body boarders in difficulty in the sea.

When the volunteer crew arrived at the scene the group of teenagers had been helped onto the shore by passers by.

The RNLI crew checked that the situation was under control before returning to the station.
Conditions on Lln yesterday contributed to the situation – strong breeze and a high tide.

This is the fourth call-out in four days for the crew.
