Six hurt in Garndolbenmaen crash

SIX people, including two children, were rushed to hospital after two vehicles crashed on the A487 in Garndolbenmaen near Porthmadog just before 6pm on Saturday.

Emergency crews were alerted to the accident and the North Wales Air Ambulance airlifted one of the casualties to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.

The other five people involved were taken to the hospital in ambulances.

Firefighters from Porthmadog and Caernarfon cut the roof off one car to release one of the injured people.

A nine year old boy suffered a serious head injury while a three year old boy had a broken leg.
