Arsonist blamed for building blaze
A PILE of rubbish has been deliberately set alight in a disused building in Bontnewydd on Saturday.
The incident took place in the basement of a three story building next to the village’s Newborough pub.
Two fire crews from Caernarfon were called to the disused building at 4:50pm on Saturday before putting out the fire.
No damage occurred to the building and no one was injured in the incident, although traffic in the area was disrupted for a short period.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service have passed the matter on to the police to investigate further.
