Arfon AM declares support for Elin Jones in Plaid leadership race

ARFON AM Alun Ffred Jones is backing Elin Jones as the next leader of Plaid Cymru.

The former culture minister endorsed the campaign of the Ceredigion AM.

Ms Jones said: “I have said from the outset that I hope to win the trust of party members to lead a team of all the talents. Alun Ffred Jones has a considerable track record of service to his communities and the country. He has served alongside me as a Plaid Cymru minister and I’m pleased he’s endorsing my bid for the leadership of the party.”

Ms Jones faces a challenge for the role from Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas and South Wales Central AM Leanne Wood.
