Football: Caernarfon Town FC girls win shield

CONGRATULATIONS to Caernarfon Town’s under- 11 girls’ team who walked away with the North Wales Girls’ Football Association (NWGFA) Shield.

The Canaries convincingly beat Pwllheli 3-0 in the final to claim the prize.

Cara Jones hit a brace and Leoni Prytherch scored one to ensure a comfortable victory.

Managed by Dei Pritchard, the team recently received their trophies at The Oval.

It has been a good year for footballing femmes in Caernarfon with the senior ladies side completing the North Wales League and Cup double in their first season back in domestic competition. They will enter the national league next term.
