Bowls: Blaenau Ffestiniog man clinches title

WITH just one match remaining of their David Vaughan sponsored Merioneth Singles League, Blaenau Bowling Club have clinched the title as they beat Tywyn Ravens 9-1 and by doing so they retain the honour they won last season.

The club hope to make it a double title celebration for they are top of the Merioneth Doubles League at present with three matches left to play.

There was more good news for the club as they went through to the final of the North Wales League Cup having beaten Section A side St Asaph at Penmaenmawr in the semi final.

Their opponents in the final will be Rhos Park A or Beaumaris A on a date and venue to be arranged.
