Entries for the Snowdonia Marathon will close at midnight on Friday August 15.
This is the first time in the race’s history (now in its 27th year) that the entry level has filled up before the usual closing date of September 30.
Race coordinator Jayne Lloyd said: "We are delighted that so many people have chosen to take part in our race.
"It was voted best marathon in Britain last year Runners World which has probably helped to attract this record field.
"We will be doing all we can to ensure visiting runners enjoy the event as much as they have in the past. We’ve got a reputation to keep up now!’’
Junior entries will be taken as usual on race day.
