TWO of Wales’ finest instrumentalists, pianist Annette Bryn Parri and harpist Dylan Cernyw have teamed up to launch a new CD.
The CD, O’r Galon, features piano and harp duets, and solos ranging from classical, opera, jazz, Celtic and Broadway.
Annette and Dylan have appeared at The Albert Hall, St David’s Hall and Symphony Hall in Birmingham as well as prestigious venues abroad including the Sydney Opera House.
Both have highly successful solo careers and have appeared with most of Wales’ international opera stars.
Between them they have recorded five solo CDs on the Sain label and have accompanied on numerous recordings over the years.
As Piantel, they released their debut CD in 2007 to critical acclaim and their popularity resulted in an invitation to perform at the National Eisteddfod’s opening gala concert.
Annette, from Deiniolen, has accompanied at the Royal Albert Hall on several occasions and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sir Georg Solti, Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana have been among her private audiences.
She has worked regularly with Welsh National Opera and is currently performing as a soloist in a series of six mass male voice choir concerts throughout the North West.
Dylan, from Colwyn Bay, won the National Eisteddfod in 1989, 1991 and 1994, and was a winner in the Cerdd Dant Festival in 1992.
The launch of O’r Galon took place at The Royal Welsh showground at Builth Wells last week, and for further details, go to www.sainwales.com
