I WAS fortunate to start working in Caernarfon in October, 2003, and since that time I have as an “English outsider” learned to love the town and its people. Despite my lack of Welsh, I have been accepted and welcomed by everyone. Read

SOMEWHAT unusually for a lad growing up on the western side of Caernarfon in the 1930s I was a choirboy at distant Christ Church, the English church next door to the town’s railway station and now a children’s play centre.

I’d started off in the Llanbeblig church choir but had been recruited for Christ Church because I had a fairly good voice. Read

I LIVE in Dinas Dinlle with my wife and three daughters, and we walk and cycle the length and width of the beach.

We pass the so called picnic area on the front daily and notice with disgust that the grass is a metre high. All we could see of the visitors eating their food were their heads, and my six-year-old daughter nearly got lost in there. Read
